Emmy M. Graber, MD, MBA is the Founder of The Dermatology Institute of Boston, a private practice in Boston, Massachusetts. With over twenty years’ experience, Dr. Graber, a board-certified dermatologist, treats a wide range of dermatologic issues and specializes in acne and cosmetic dermatology. She is currently an Affiliate Clinical Instructor at Northeastern University and has extensive experience teaching students of all types. She has handpicked and mentored the other physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners at DIB so that they can all provide the best acne care possible.

Most patients begin to see visible improvement within 6–12 weeks of starting a consistent treatment plan, though timelines vary. Some treatments may take at least 3 months to work while cortisone injections for large pimples take hours to a day to work.
We offer prescription topicals and retinoids, hormonal therapy, isotretinoin, antibiotics, AviClear laser treatment, chemical peels and acne scar treatments.
Yes. We regularly treat hormonal and cystic acne in adults of all ages, along with pre-teen and teen acne.
Yes, we offer advanced scar treatment options tailored to your skin type and the severity of your scarring.
You may use your insurance and depending on your plan you may need a referral. Alternatively, you may choose to pay for your visit out of pocket and bypass the need for a referral.
Costs vary depending on your treatment plan. Some insurance plans will cover part or all of medication costs. Laser treatments are never covered by insurance. We are happy to tailor a plan to a patient’s financial situation as needed.
Our office is located at 185 Dartmouth St, Suite 404, Boston, MA 02116, in Back Bay just off Copley Square. There is also an entrance to the building at 441 Stuart Street.
